Few things are perfect, but it was well done. Our country generally does do these things right. I actually liked seeing the city without people and all of the flags. Comedy was if you watched CNN like I did, I don't know who was speaking but said it was great to see the national guard standing and saluting during the national athem as is proper. Happy to know that is now considered proper again.
Lot of silliness today with MSM...hailing one of the first Executive Orders Biden signed mandating face masks in Federal Buildings. Weren’t they already required? Lol

Asking the American public to mask up is a big ask apparently, and mandating the politicians wear them sends the right message.
I didn't realize Trump had so many Democratic cronies....lol

What rules are you referring to? Isn't the CDC recommendation for large gathering to wear mask AND socially distance? Were people socially distant on the stage at the inauguration today?

Pelosi deserves the criticism, as did many other democratic politicians like Newsome or the San Francisco mayor. Being a tone deaf jackass certainly includes people from both parties... that said... Being anti mask or making fun of masks was defiantly a republican position coming from the tone at the top.

Judging by Biden’s early selections of who he has surrounded himself with, it looks like he will try to go with what he’s comfortable. So far, a lot of long-term Washington insiders that he is known for decades. He is also picking a number of “check the box” people to placate the identity politics crowd. Wall Street money lives predictability, so thus far, they seem to approve as well. Another four years of Washington spending like drunken sailors, but nobody seems to mind based on the last four.

well his inauguration party was already a lot cheaper, despite being over the top as usual.
I actually told my wife that what a lucky SOB Biden is. Didn’t have to deal with all of the inauguration balls and ass kissing. He was probably in the rack by midnight.
He took a nap after signing 3 EOs. Then awoke to find President Obama behind the resolute desk.
