NO ONE (except maybe coach and the team?) could have seen this coming a month ago. This turnaround and the level of play is so impressive.

We didn't hit a single three in the second half after being almost unconscious in the first. Turn it over a bunch after only once in the first. And still close it out at Butler?

Shaking my head in the best way.

This team has taken on the personality of Sha. There is absolutely no quit in them and in my mind Kadary is the best guard in the league. He willed them to win that game after Butler took the lead. It isn't always pretty but he and the junk yard dogs have been unbelievable.

Finding ways to win with toughness and clutch plays.

What a complete turn-around! The way that this team played in the OOC part of the schedule, the NIT was beyond their reach. Give Sha & staff a load of credit. Something, or someone flipped the switch and suddenly this is a cohesive unit that can compete. Let's not get ahead of ourselves as this week will be telling as to where we stand with the likes of St Johns & Creighton.

It’s truly incredible and Sha has them all buying in. Everyone seems to know their role now.

The best part is even when shots don’t fall it doesn’t snow ball into a huge deficit. These guys have tenacity and grit.

Resilience with this bunch comes from the head coach

This group kind of has me feeling like the 1999-2000 team. That team had a better non-conference performance (against a weaker schedule though), but did lose back to back games in a non-conference event just like this one did. It then started 5-1 in the Big East with 3 road wins as well. One of those first five wins was a huge Tuesday night mid-January home victory over St. John's, just hours before the tragic Boland Hall fire. With the 20-game Big East schedule these days, a win on Tuesday night would be this team's sixth.

That team ended the season three points shy of the Elite Eight after star PG Shaheen Holloway went down with an ankle injury in the game prior to the Sweet 16 loss. It was the last team from New Jersey to reach the Sweet 16, until Holloway's St. Peter's team came along 22 years later.

I became a big fan of Dawes when he was struggling in the OOC schedule. Couldn't throw a rock in the ocean, then, but never seemed to pout or hang his head.

On another note, any word on Brown and Tubek?

Sha has brought the bench along as well.

Sanders had a really good first half yesterday. His 2nd 3 was a crowd silencer after Butler has gained momentum.

EHE and Coleman played well also.

Offensive rebounding and causing turnovers allows us to not hit a 3 in 2nd half and all the other crazy stats this team has from game to game, and still win.

Sha's grit has manifested itself in his players.
