Interesting on transfers

I had read 65% last year. They roll the dice. They are kids with a high risk/reward mentality and even if they drop to a lower program they think they’ll cascade in the following year.

Another point of reference. Local Patriot coach told me that Noah Williamson, Bucknell center, got $1.0 million from Alabama and Max Green, Holy Cross guard, got $500k from Northwestern. Look affordable and went to P5 schools and stars were decent in Patriot League. Neither will be starters but they cashed in.

That is crazy but also believable. I watched Williamson a good deal this year and he played well against PL competition. But no way will his game translate to the SEC.
Good for him for cashing in

I don’t doubt we have $5 million to spend. But these two guys have decent numbers but I don’t know if they can play any defense for extended periods. But with $5 million, these are going to be starters for SHU.

And if we only had $1.5 million last year are we surprised at the roster?

If you’re Sha do you spend the money on athleticism and defense or do you spend it on offensive players that are defensive liabilities, because at $5 million you can’t have both.

Or offensive players who have some track record of scoring at lower levels even if they have some "major warts" to other aspects of their offensive game, and then hope it will translate. The kids landed so far all scored double digits in lower level conferences last year, so putting the ball in the bucket seems to be a priority, but how they score also seems to be somewhat similar in that it's about inside the arc/the paint/rim, as opposed to being good shooters.
