Is the grass greener?

Playing against lesser competition too...at least in their conference.

Depends on what he was looking for. I have to think it was come combination of giving himself a change of scenery, a better chance to make the tourney, and possibly showcasing/ developing himself for a pro career somewhere.

He definitely got the change of scenery, but not sure about the other two yet. I expected his point totals to go down on that team, but most of his other #s to improve, which hasn't happened. Hopefully he can make a nice living for himself overseas somewhere for a while after his college career is over.

I don't think Sterling went there for the regular season, or to perform well at The American conference tournament in front of a crowd of 1,100. He was/is banking on the potential to get to the NCAA tourn and play well enough to possible get a shot at the NBA. It is a better question to ask after the season is over.
And also, everyone's grass was greener than our's last season.

Surprised he has been as consistent [for him] as he has been. Told UCONN friends that he cold look great for two games then disappear for two, esp. at the ends of games. That hasn't happened to the degree that I had thought.

He also seems to be playing the mentor role well to younger players. Too bad that didn't happen here. We have to ask why.

That said, it looked like a flashback when he bricked two foul shots in the waning minutes of the Georgetown game Sat., though he had sunk several in a row before that. He and UCONN are good, though in their conference they play a mid major schedule.

Tough call. UConn is a different animal. It's as close to playing in the pros as a guy like Sterling Gibbs will ever experience. Can't fault him for wanting to experience that. On the other hand, he gave up the chance to be the star player on (likely) the first SHU NCAA tournament team in a decade. He'd have been remembered for a long time around here for that.

He probably likes it better then playing on a team with (a few?) guys who can't stand him and vice versa

I got an email from twitter yesterday. One of those junk/promo things they send out. It references sterling, and had kc and Sina as 2 people who follow him...lol

Just curious, is this statement referring to your thoughts on our chances if he had stayed, or just in general (with or without him)?
