I know that these are the dog days of August but does the dog have to be a Husky? I don’t know about anyone else, but I can do without the frequent updates on the state of UCONN athletics.
No problem talking about fellow conference members.I know that these are the dog days of August but does the dog have to be a Husky? I don’t know about anyone else, but I can do without the frequent updates on the state of UCONN athletics.
For the record, I don't start threads about UConn, but, if you guys start one, I'll hop in.I know that these are the dog days of August but does the dog have to be a Husky? I don’t know about anyone else, but I can do without the frequent updates on the state of UCONN athletics.
Yeah, well, it sure looks like we're going be around through the next media deal, at least. It’s not about UCONN per se. For me it’s about realignment and whether or not they bolt. UCONN in the BE helps immensely with the upcoming media negotiations with FOX.
Lol, I guess before you can ask how a player is doing in the pros, he's got to actually get in the pros, right? Bouknight is a multimillionaire from his tenure in the NBA.Paging CL82. He's all in on Setonia hoops. Makes me chuckle. Ask him how his guy Bouk is faring in the pros?
Everyone looks great in the summer games. Glorified pick-up hoops. I'll give you Hawkins sticking in the association. Not sure on Jackson - has no jumper. A poor man's Ben Simmons. Sanago is too small and not quick enough to guard the 4's. Similiar to our Angel Delgado. Great career overseas. I like to bet oyster dinners with my Conn friends, you care to wager about Sanago and Jackson being in the G league or overseas in two to three years. For the record, I don't start threads about UConn, but, if you guys start one, I'll hop in.

Now, maybe the better question is how are Sanogo, Jackson, and Hawkins going to do in the pros? They've all looked good over the summer.
I agree regarding your hope that Bouknight's has good money managers. I would love to see most kids who play in the NBA drop at least half their earnings into a trust that creates a sinking fund and just spins off income for their lifetime. You don't miss what you are not used to. So Bouknight made a little over 4 million last year and is scheduled to make about 4 1/2 million this year. If right from the get-go he threw 2 million a year into a trust, he'd be set for life. Even if you only do that for, say, the first five years. But that's neither here nor there.Everyone looks great in the summer games. Glorified pick-up hoops. I'll give you Hawkins sticking in the association. Not sure on Jackson - has no jumper. One last thing, Bouk may be a multimillionaire but that won't be for long as his "tenure" in the NBA is mostly from playing for the Greensboro Swarm. Hope he has good money people.
They can keep it but should just move to the 1AA level. Football provides things to a university that other programs don’t.UCONN needs to eliminate football they sucked forever in the old BE and to now... that scene has come and gone... stick to Hoops Huskies and play big east ball
Not worth it. It doesn't save all that much money. I think it is DI or nothing for us.They can keep it but should just move to the 1AA level. Football provides things to a university that other programs don’t.
