Dems want open borders so they have to provide some services to their future voters.I take your point on Trump 2024, but so many people want free stuff with no concern or understanding of the future impact of printing money.For those of you who took economic courses you may remember Milton Friedman was the first economist to highlight the danger of rapidly increasing the money supply.
Friedman also predicted there would never be a flat tax because this takes away the need to give politicians money to push tax agendas.Pretty smart guy.Sami please note the white space I provided.

Medicaid funding is interesting. It seems California is aggressively taking advantage of the Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Payments. They are adding more uninsured to the pool.

how can the gov verify a patient is or isnt above 50 yrs old if they are illegal? tho these people do prop up various industries with their cheap labor, they also dont play taxes

I wish Republicans would realize that most Latinos hold conservative viewpoints and are strong Catholics. They can be coaxed to the Republican side as seen with the large Latino population voting for Trump in Florida.

Democrats would then be forced to reverse course and strengthen the border and would be all about enforcing immigration laws. Republicans are leaving desperately needed votes on the table here.

GWB tried to go there but the party realized it was more beneficial to keep their base energized against immigrants than to embrace them. I thought it would have been a no brainer for Trump to negotiate his border wall in exchange for an amnesty program.
