A prominent local high school coach who coached one of our players stated that if IW was drafted in the first round, it will grab the attention of the local high profile recruits which would help our recruiting. . In that limited sense, his leaving would be good. However, next year we have the potential to have a big year if IW stays. In that sense, his leaving will be bad.

IW, in my opinion, as of this moment, isn't ready for the NBA. He still needs more maturity, and time in college. I think that it would be his best bet, and in his best interest, to come back next season and have a monster year leading the Hall to a great campaign, and a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

NBA season ticket holder for 25 years here. My eyes tell me he can easily go but he might not play as much as he should or get the coaching during the season he needs to develop. On the other hand by staying he would get all the minutes and lots of coaching. For the long run I think staying would be best for him as he is still developing PG skills and he has two great coaches to do that. If it comes down to the money, how high he would go, and how important it is to IW and his family. Steph Curry waited and how did that work out? But his family had plenty of money so it's different.

IW still makes mistakes that could push him to the second round. If he is in the second round waiting is the best. If he were to be taken in the first round, those guys would be taking a flyer on him. He still needs coaching, for which he responds well to make it. You don't get the same level of attention ion the NBA on skills as you do in college. There are a lot of players from the NBA who have said that is a fact and rode the bench before making the jump to play or never really got off the bench. Does he want just one more year to break out or does he think he already has?

if IW played like this Midway through last season and into this year, he would be on the mock draft board. If he keeps it up he will be highly sought after next year. The problem is that his game only improved to this level in the past few months. NBA teams would be happy to get him on the cheap this year and put him in the D league, but obviously he would be better to wait for a higher payday next year.

My hope is that IW does what Dunn did this year. Come back to school, get some national attention because we will be ranked most the year, and really work on your craft with Shaheen. He oozes with potential, his court vision is amazing, and he plays incredible defense. I could see him going mid to late first round next year. I don't see him getting drafted in the first round this year...too many lazy/dumb turnovers and his athleticism will always hold him back a bit.

I think you also have to look at the potential for injury. If he can land a first round contract, that's three years guaranteed. I'm not sure I would advise my child against that, since there is no given he will be in a better position the following year.

Isaiah also has a great workout thick and appears to have good values. My senses he will make the most of the opportunity if you sitting on the bench of an NBA team for a couple of years.

It's really simple if he is getting candid advice from the right people, maybe even curry himself. If he becomes a lock for a first round pick , he goes. No questions and it's likely the right answer. If there is risk that he goes to round 2 than he should be getting advice to stay another year to put him into first round after junior year. Probably no one on this board can really offer any real insights that's not emotionally driven.

I think we are getting way ahead of ourselves. Whitehead has been phenomenal, but let's at least see 1 mock draft where he even makes the list. I hope becomes a consensus lottery pick in every mock draft, that will only mean good things for Seton Hall, but to date he's not even a consensus draft pick.
