Yep I know just frustrating. We are very far away from the end of this pandemic. I think this South Africa strain will be bad. And the vaccines won't be effective against this strain. I hope I am wrong. Posters that have said we are going to have a normal maskless summer will be wrong.

I guess not up to Biden Admin standards? There was a spokesperson on CBS saying it very well is possible a Biden CDC will not approve this vaccine to be used in the US. Per this spokesperson 70% is usually the baseline Fauci uses.

I've not seen anything to change my expectation.

What would make me change my view is if there is an issue with the vaccine and we stop administering it, or if the vaccine is not effective against a new variant.

Short of that happening, I think we will have vaccinated everyone who wants to be vaccinated at some point before or during the summer. Won't really have much of a need for masks then.
