Seems like a solid get, and several ticks up from the recent level of prep recruit we have landed save for Coleman. Plenty of PT will be available at the guard spot, so great to finally get rolling for 2024.
Haven't seen him yet as he is injured but I am being told not to sleep on Dave Tubek. Freshmen built like an NFL linebacker.

Not sleeping on him either. He seems like a solid recruit too. And who knows about the other kids. I never write any of these off because we have seen recruits fluctuate both ways (underperform v. outperform rankings).

Just pointing out that from a competition perspective, this kid is rated higher than some of the recent kids we landed, and it seems we actually beat out at least one legit competitor instead of mid-majors.

Worst kept secret since this weekend (Saturday)

STRONGLY hinted on the Trove without releasing the name in deference to the player. That didn't last long as the readers there surmised almost instantly who the player was.

He has offers from a bunch of high majors. This is an impressive get, the staff should be credited as such.

Perhaps you are right. We all know what โ€œoffersโ€ means. I wasnโ€™t trying to diminish the kid at all, so I donโ€™t know why you took it that way. I read somewhere NC State was the real competition and posted that us getting a kid from down there is a good get. And that itโ€™s been the best recruiting news in a while.

First thought that popped into my head when I saw the team picture was that Tubek looks like he's physically ready to contribute right away unlike so many freshman.

This is the type of recruit that proves our recruiting efforts can sign quality players. Love the potential and upside for this player and the coaches deserve all the praise coming their way.

Welcome to your new basketball family..thank you for selecting Seton Hall, you won't regret your decision.

If he's as good as Myles Cale we should be happy. Thrilled in fact. We've had kids ranked in this area who worked, but many who did not. Look at some of Willard's last classes.
Well Felton can play point so he will automatically be a better ball handler than Cale who did not handle the rock very well. I liked Cale, but I am actually hoping for someone who will play better. This kid has versatility to his game already.

Everybody labels themselves a โ€œcombo guardโ€ nowadays. That in no way means he can actually handle being a point guard in the big east.

And it's not knocking the recruit to say that. For a kid with this pedigree out of prep, which is consistent with many kids we typically land out of prep, you have wide variations in outcomes. If a kid becomes a "Myles Cale" from a contribution and value perspective, that's a W in recruiting out of prep for our program.

Nice Job by staff and kudos to coach R Davis.

Since Feltonโ€™s Dad is from Trenton I would have to assume he followed Myles Powellโ€™s career a bit as he consistently developed for the Pirates.

I absolutely hate the way it played out with that injury lawsuit, but Myles Powell as a scorer was something special from Trenton.
