Here is me on the game:
The 4 starting guards (excluding Bediako) made 6 baskets and were 1 for 7 from 3 pointers while committing 10 turnovers. So they stunk at 3 pointers and had more turnovers than baskets made.
So how did we manage to win. Easy. Sha replaced the bad players with hungry guys on the bench and was rewarded by better defense and offense. The bench (excluding center) outplayed the starters by a mile
Going forward SHA needs to reevaluate who starts and who comes off the bench fast as the season can be a disaster if he keeps doing the same lineup.
I would like to see more of Brown and Coleman. Sanders looked decent too.
Sha has a Kadary and Dawes problem. Kadary can't make 3 pointers so teams play him to drive to the basket and for the most part contest his shots at the hoop. Dawes whose main claim to fame is making 3 pointers can't make them anymore and is not really strong enough or quick enough to drive to the basket and make layups.
It might make sense to move Kadary to forward. Take Dylan and Dawes out of the starting lineup since they provide limited scoring punch. Use Coleman and Sanders and or Brown at guard spots to provide some better outside scoring possibilities.
