Jerry on the game

Pretty reasonable to me. It's been a brutal week. We lost 2 games we should've won, IMO. Then we got blown out on the road against a very good, ranked team while shorthanded and down our best player. It showed. It's college basketball. You're a 5-second call from 7-1 and fall to 6-4 fast.

It's not the end of the world. We've given away our buffer and a shot at the BE RS title, so that sucks. But we're still in position to have a good season at 13-8, 6-4 NET #75, 4 Q1 wins, but it has to stop now with lowly #301 DePaul on Tuesday night. Then get a much-needed week off before taking it to #182 Georgetown at home.

Agree with Jerrys points about the game. His comments lead me to believe he's a bit suspicious about the severity of KRs injury?I know the point you made Dan but I'm starting to wonder eg he's been cleared by the medical staff?Hopefully,he's back at full speed soon.

What do I know but does anyone here know if KR is keeping himself out of playing or is the doctors, trainers, coaches or school keeping him out?

My understanding was its KR choosing to sit out..

I’d say we lost two games we could have won.

I enjoyed the unexpected success but always knew that we would fall somewhat back to earth. All of us would have signed up for this BE record at this time pre season. Still very possible to have a great expectation beating season.

Do we consider this second half easier?

We have 2 with DePaul, and then Xavier/Butler/Georgetown rematches at home. But we also get all the big guys on the road this half: Connecticut, Creighton, St. John’s after just playing at Marquette in Game 10.

And let’s not forget Xavier and Creighton are 6-0 against us in the Holloway Era.

It’ll come down to Villanova. Again. I thought the second half would be harder but their plunge is making that argument closer.

1) @ Depaul
2) Gtown
3) Xavier
4) Butler
5) Villanova
6) DePaul Pack your bags.

@ SJU-usually comes down to last minute. Hall has had success. Not impossible
@ Villanova-many times come down to a play here or there. Not impossible this time.

@Creighton-probably not. You never know.
@UConn-least chance along with Creighton for a win the rest of the way.

I’m getting the feeling we wont be seeing KR next game either.. maybe he goes on a spiritual missionary program every February or something.. who knows

We are not in bad shape but I think we need to pull an inside straight to make the NCAAT.

We're in better shape than that. I'd agree with Carino, sweep the three from DePaul and Georgetown and find three other wins.

As long as we have a reasonably healthy Richmond and keep everything else intact, that's realistic.

First things first. Get past DePaul and make the most of a week off.

It seems like every season we go through this soap opera come January and a player with an affliction/injury and the “mystery” of what, when, who, where and how”. Is he hurt, how bad or is not an injury and something else (which is what I’m beginning to read between the lines in this case)..

I get it, you don’t release much so your opponent has to prepare for with or without especially for a player like Richmond, but this “murder on the orient express” drama is getting old.
