Loved his intensity; had the heart of a lion on the court for the Hall. We would not have been a champion in 2016 without him.
Tough man! He was there all season long. The only other guard we played, and never missed a beat. I smile at a recollection, we are playing PC the first time, I think away, they were faves, close game. We make this shot and we look like we are gonna win it, and Derrick shoots a three. No no no YES!!!!!
I read that article and feel embarrassment for how I saw gay people as a kid. (LIke the song said, you've got to be taught...) My two sons tell me things are way better. I hope so.

He was instrumental in the teams success all season long. The two 3s he made in the BET championship game were gigantic, especially the one late in the 2nd half.
