Jim Burr finally retires

It always cracks me up how some fans have such hate for certain refs. I found Burr entertaining and only infrequently annoying. Pretty much the same for Higgins. Sorry if that's heresy to some of you. The only one I can never feel good about is John Clougherty for obvious reasons. And in the past the only one I hated was Lou Eisentstadt. Not sure how many of you remember him, but he was a tyrannical SOB.
Here is a true story about Burr.
Years ago he made a horrific (away) call against Barrett. A few nights later, we had a home game and as he walked out for the start of the game, I yelled... horrible call against Barrett. He turns to me and said" do you want to get kicked out of here". I said" what for telling the truth". He turned away and walked away. Say what you want, he didn't like the Hall and showed it..
As for Higgins, for the most part, I watch replays of our games and Higgins was some what fair.

Refereeing is the only profession where you are expected to get it right the first time and get better from there.
