Struck and killed by drunk driver in south jersey outside of philly (salem county). Along with his brother. they were in town for their sisters wedding tomorrow. he was 31 with 2 kids. a real figure in the hockey community around the area. Super tragic. Don't drink and drive.

Very sad story of a groom in NY and his cousin killed the weekend of his wedding by a drunken idiot driving the wrong way. . Same week a drunk mother killed her 9 year old son on driving the wrong way on the Southern St Pky. 😡

The driver was allegedly drunk and swerving between lanes trying to pass slower moving vehicles. If true then lock him up and throw away the key. Just the epitome of selfishness.
apparently passed the first car in the southbound (opposite lane). he wanted to pass the next car ahead of that. that first car moved into the middle lane to pass the boys on their bikes. the drunk driver thought this was an opportunity to blast past on the right side and had no idea the boys were there. must have blasted directly into them
In the state of NJ vehicle homicide under influence of drugs/alcohol is a first degree crime. Length of punishment is 10 to 20 years and a 1/3 of the sentence must be fulfilled before the possibility of parole.
geez so if you want to commit a murder and get out in a reasonable time just run them over drunk
they'll give him a bigger sentence because of the profile of he victims but it wont matter
So is he facing up to 40 years because there's 2 charges? Or would even two max sentences have to be served simultaneously?
I saw it reported that he currently faces 2 second degree vehicular manslaughter charges
