For once LSU does the right thing by firing the blatantly crooked Will Wade. For those who don't recall, he was caught on audio tape furious that a recruit he thought he had bought and paid for with a "strong-ass offer" signed elsewhere. Fired for cause, he won't get a dime because he signed an amendment to his contract that he'd forfeit severance if guilty of Level 1 or 2 violations. In that amendment he also waived his right to sue. LSU was notified by the NCAA last week of just such serious violations. Apparently they have proof that he paid cash to at least 11 players and/or families.
He is not alone in such misdeeds, but his case is perhaps the most egregious. He deserves zero sympathy.
