Recent feature from the LA Times done last week by Bill Plaschke, a high profile sports columnist in LA.
Prett favorable portrayal of Howland. some pretty wistful comments from UCLA fans indicating they wish they still had him.
He seems pretty motivated to come back to coaching.
If he really is serious about SHU we should take a long look.
Funny thing is SHU has been so afraid of PR disasters but 3 of the last 4 coaches have given us exactly that.
A smart guy like him (or PJ) won't screw up twice.
Key quote from Howland: "the next place I cosch is where I want to finish my career."
Also - interesting to note that his UCLA severance was structured as a multi year $300/k pa payment. Hope SHU was smart enough to do the same for KW.
