Are they kidding? They are quickly becoming an absolute joke in their sports section although I'm sure most will offer that's been the case already for a very long time.

SHU finally gets coverage. Top of the front page actually. And what's the story about? Desi Rodriquez with the only reporting about the actual game being the final score.

If I was the sports editor I would be embarrassed beyond belief in this latest effort. You send one of your gloried bloggers to cover the action and you don't in any way describe the game? Just incredible.

They love controversy for either of us. The nsl is a nothing. Why mention them. They don't deserve the time it takes to write a post. Let's ignore them.

It's past frustration Dick. I think we all know nothing will change until the paper is no longer. But I think our readers need to know when something of this nature occurs.

I still subscribe (grandfathered in rate wise) but I do so only because I help run this board so I want to keep up with the local sports scene. But the day I am no longer in charge of his site is the day I cancel my subscription. That is if the fall of the Scarlet Ledger doesn't beat me to the punch.

See my exchange with zagoria on Twitter. He originally had a headline referencing Desi and the benching and no mention of it in the article. I asked if he was just starting trouble without actually using any of the quotes available? Within minutes he had the article changed. In the end of the day these guys are just desperate for eyeballs.

To add salt in our wounds, Eddie Jorden indicated in his post-game presser that he benched Corey Sanders yesterday for "maturity" reasons and yet no mention of that event in the NSL RU Game article.

Hard to believe what you find in the Ledger can't be found elsewhere. The AP articles are available online other places.

The Ledger's mission in regards to Seton Hall seems to be to either ignore us or tear us down in the hopes that one, if not both, of these avenues somehow helps to build Rutgers up. Can't wait until they are out of business. They are an embarassment to journalism.

The ledger stinks and I stopped reading it years ago. However, the actions of our players over the past several seasons is more concerning and damaging. Hope that stops and williard gets it under control. Happy to see he disciplined him.

What's really amazing is that Seton Hall continues to pay for advertising in this rag as less eyeballs see it each day. Maybe it's time to stop throwing that money away...

Julie Herman was right. It would be good if the doors at nsl just closed for good.
