SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- The Seton Hall women's basketball team (14-4, 4-3 BIG EAST) returns home to Walsh Gymnasium after 17 days away on Friday night to host Xavier (14-4, 5-2) at 7 p.m. The Pirates recently concluded a three-game road swing, their longest in league play, with an 83-75 victory at Georgetown. The Hall will play five of its next seven contests at home after opening league play with five of seven on the road. ALL TIME VS. XAVIERThe Pirates have won all four meetings in program history against Xavier, with each coming since the Musketeers joined the BIG EAST for the 2013-14 season.
• Each victory over XU has been by double-digits, with an average margin of victory of 15.8
• After a 78-54 victory in South Orange on Jan. 9, 2015, the Pirates went to Cincinnati and secured a 77-60 result on Feb. 27, 2015
Tabatha Richardson-Smith (Bay City, Texas) averaged 20.0 points over the two games last season with XU and added five steals and four blocks
Tiffany Jones (New York, N.Y.) averaged 13.0 points on a 73.3 percent mark from the floor in last year's outings and added 10.5 rebounds per game, including a 14-board effort

LAST TIME OUTThe Pirates snapped a three-game slide on Jan. 17 at Georgetown, knocking off the Hoyas by a score of 83-75
• Richardson-Smith led all scorers with 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds
Shakena Richardson (Neptune, N.J.) stuffed the stat sheet with a career-highs in points (20) and rebounds (7) while adding six assists and a steal
• The Pirates out-rebounded the Hoyas, who came into the contest the top rebounding team in the BIG EAST, by a margin of 42-40
• Jones just missed a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds
Jordan Molyneaux (Denver, Colo.) saw a career-high 23 minutes off the bench and turned in a staunch defensive performance with five blocks and two steals, also adding four points and three rebounds

- The Hall is the only team to rank top-4 in the BIG EAST in both scoring defense (62.1 ppg, 4th) and scoring offense (71.9 ppg, 3rd)
- Tabatha Richardson-Smith leads the BIG EAST with 23.3 points per game in conference play and has five 20-point games in league action
- Tiffany Jones leads the league with 11.1 boards a night in conference play
- The Hall leads the BIG EAST in rebounding margin (+3.1) and turnover margin (+2.4) in conference games

The RV/#25 Seton Hall University women's basketball team eased past Xavier University, 77-60, on Friday night in Cincinnati, Ohio, moving back into first place in the BIG EAST standings. The Pirates (25-4, 14-3) can clinch the No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament with a win in their regular season finale at Butler on Sunday afternoon.

Yes this is a big week for both the Men and Women's Programs. Hopefully, they get some
strong on campus student support this weekend.

The women can only lose a few more games if they want to be considered for an at large bid. That's going
to be tough, but not impossible.
