SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- The No. 25 Seton Hall women's basketball team (9-1) returns to Walsh Gymnasium to close out non-conference play on Sunday, Dec. 20 when it hosts Saint Peter's (1-8). Tip-off with the Peacocks is set for 12 p.m. and can be seen on the Pirate Sports Network and heard on WSOU, 89.5 FM.
The Pirates are coming off a big-time victory at Liberty in their last outing, dousing the Lady Flames by a score of 92-56 on Dec. 12. Tiffany Jones (New York, N.Y.) led all scorers with a career-high 21 points, as The Hall knocked down a season-best 14 3-pointers and shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the victory. The Pirates ramped up their defensive effort in the second half, holding Liberty to 18 points and 12.5 percent shooting after the break.
Seton Hall is 13-3 all-time against its New Jersey neighbor Saint Peter's, including victories in each of the last four outings. Last season the teams met in the first round of the SHU Thanksgiving Classic as Daisha Simmons poured in 30 points to lead The Hall to a 75-45 victory.

The Seton Hall University women's basketball team used a fast first-half start and saw graduate Daisha Simmons score 30 points as the Pirates picked up a 75-45 victory over Saint Peter's University in the SHU Thanksgiving Classic semifinal on Saturday afternoon in Walsh Gymnasium.
