a bit of a trap game for the Bruins coming off the win against Kentucky, but if Long Beach prevails, certainly leaves us without a bad loss so far this season FWIW.

They've been game this year and had a couple good wins and competitive games but they're still just #163 in KenPom's ratings. I don't think they'll even finish in the RPI Top-100 either.

6711 & 69,

Georgia is not good is right they also lost to Chattanooga. Mississippi is not good either, but I think the SEC overall is better this year. Texas A&M and Vanderbilt are good and SC and Florida look much better this year. LSU with Simmons and getting their best G back could be better after a tough start. We really need to take care of WSU at home. They had no problem with St. Louis over the weekend, but they are not good at all.

Georgia will be a solid middle of the pack SEC team. Both Ole Miss and Georgia were good wins for us. A lot of "big" teams lost to low majors early in the season-- Radford or Monmouth anyone? And K-State is no slouch. As far as WSU being "not good at all," you do know that they lost a bunch of games when their All-America point guard was out with a hamstring injury. He's back now. They are not as good as last year because they lost some of their big guys but they will be in the NCAAs.

I know all about Fred Van Vleet and his being hurt. If they don't win the MVC this year they will not get an NCAA at large bid. They are going to have to beat us, Utah and UNLV on their schedule to have any shot at an at large.

Tom D is right. They've done nothing in their OOC thus far. Unless they get those wins they would have to run through the MVC including beating Northern Iowa twice.

Georgia looks to be a nothing win, but Ole Miss could still be decent. Not the top thing on a resume, but solid. We would still need to win 3 or so games against the top of the Big East, which looks impossible based on how they're all playing and how woeful we continue to be. No, a drubbing of one of the worst Power 5 teams in Rutgers doesn't mean anything. How we played at GW does, and it didn't look good as usual.

Wichita will have Conner Frankamp eligible by the time he plays. Used to be a decent prospect, dont know about nowadays.

Solo,

Let's say WSU goes 2-1 against UNLV, Utah and us. Then finishes 2nd in the MVC regular season and loses to NIU in the MVC finals. Does the committee give them an NCAA at large based on their best player was injured early in the year and they are not the same team as then? Thanks.

I'd have to see the RPI/SOS #'s first. Also you'd have to see how the other conferences are shaping up. I'd say Wichita would get the nod though based on past NCAA performance and their relatively well-known status at this point.

Bobbie Solo, we have missed your wide eyed optimism.

At the start of the season, Georgia and Ole Miss were both well within the top 100 and still are, WSU was top 10 and GW is now a top 30. Not great but very solid.

We need top 50wins! We have maybe 1 more opportunity. Wichita St still plays Utah & UnLV

Seton Hall is going to have at least 7 wins with teams 200 and worse in the RPI. Dartmouth, Wagner, Bradley, Rutgers, Troy, St. Peter's, and South Florida. Lost to Long Beach who is 150. Better beat Wichita cause these non conference wins are not good at all. No sugar coating that. Might need 10 wins in the league just to get to the NIT if they lose to Wichita.

Ole Miss RPI is 127. George Mason who beat Ole Miss RPI is 214. Georgia is 56. WSU RPI is now 81 after beating UNLV last night. They absolutely needed that win last night. They play Utah and us coming up if they lose both that is going to be very bad for them.

I would think both Georgia and Ole Miss get into that Top-75 by season's end. Definitely Top 100.
