Look at video on Powell's Instagram...

I can’t see the video, but I’m praying for a speedy recovery. And if you could actually see the swelling on video then he would be out for a much longer than a few weeks, so that is good news.

I dont believe in any god so who cares. Talk bb
To each his own but it always baffled me as to why someone with no belief in God associates themselves with a Catholic school or Christian traditions and holidays. Let’s take off from work for Christmas and Good Friday.

If most people thought as you, the majority of Catholic colleges would close tomorrow; And Seton Hall would be a much poorer place.

I'm not disagreeing with that at all. Not to mention there would be even fewer recruits to pick from. I just find it difficult for myself as to why would I as a Catholic want to be associated with an Atheist or Agnostic University if there was one? I wouldn't. Go back 15-20 years and I believe part of the reason Essex Catholic High School closed was due to the Archdiocese not wanting to fund a school where enrollment was down and there were minimal Catholics.

LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAY THE ALMIGHTY DUNK IT ON THE SPARTAN HEATHENS' FACES!

Willard is going to have a battle on his hands.
As you would expect a competitor to do, MP is going to do everything possible to play on Thursday.

If this was a tournament game, I think he absolutely plays.
It's not a tournament game but it is one of the most anticipated non-conference games in a couple decades with tons of scouts slated to be at the game.

But if MP plays and gets reinjured then Willard will be absolutely killed by the media, fans, etc.

No one has suggested that MP is going to play on thursday but with Zach suggesting he could be available less than 72 hours later for St. Louis. I wouldn't be surprised if he suits up.

What is the possibility the ankle gets worse by playing on it? If the doctors don't think it will get worse he should play.

the goal probably isn't just to not make it worse but to also allow it to get better with a long and big year ahead of us.

not a doctor and probably very different injury but the KD injury comes to mind.

If you're favoring an already existing injury you are more likely to injure something else.

Guys, let's get back to BB otherwise I am going to be forced to move this thread to another site.
Dan - I was thinking the same thing. I never thought this would go so off the rails.

Patently false. I would wager that SHU's student body is still a vast majority of Christians. And <1% of non-believers.

I’ll take that bet on your last statement.
You really think there are less than 100 total students at seton hall that are non-believers.

I mean I think 2 of my 3 roommates were.

Fair enough. If the rate of non-believers in the general population is 7-8% in the US, fair to say that at a Catholic University, it's probably slightly less than that? I'm with the poster who doesn't understand why anyone who is a non-believer would want any affiliation with a faith-based institution. We have posters here who are downright hostile to Catholicism -- I don't see the point.

Gahh!!! How did I get rerouted to this cesspool of a board? I know Dan warned us this could happen, but I just followed my alerts and when I exited the thread, I saw where I was - the one place I avoid most vigorously!

If you think Catholic Unis don't depend on non-Catholics/non believers to survive you are insane or badly out of touch. Whatever the overall percentage of Americans think, something like 30% of college students are indifferent towards religion. Colleges that see a 30% drop in enrollment close.
