First off I want to thank our readers for being loyal to the Trove/Rivals. Without your help I would not be able to run this board.
Unfortunately as happens every summer paid membership took a major hit as the summer months approached. To the point that SnakeTom had to significantly decrease his time on the board to help defray the costs of running this site.
That's unfortunate because without Tom these message boards would have never gotten off the ground.
That said we still make enough money for Tom to do some book work here and for me to continue to run the boards as I have done in the past.
Looking ahead.
1. The month of September is historically the slowest BB month of the year making getting news very difficult.
2. We will have Fred Hill's interview completed within the next 10 days.
3. I am working with friends on the Scout board to try and do an interview with their recruiting coordinator similar to what we recently did here with Rivals' Eric Bossi. If that falls through I have another idea which I haven't pursued yet pending the Scout situation.
4. In mid September Tom Konchalski comes out with his Preseason Eastern Survey listing his Top 160 Seniors and his Baker's Dozen Juniors. When received I will post that info here.
5. Also Blue Ribbon comes out late September. I purchase that online and will post relevant info regarding SHU's profile, the Big East's profile and the profiles of our opponents.
6. Ken Pom also comes out late September/early November. As our readers know that supplies tons of statistical data re SHU, the Big East and college BB in general.
7. I'll continue to try and find out as much recruiting info as possible.
Then October comes and we can get into high gear as I will be attending Big East Media Day as well as Seton Hall's Media Day.
I'll also be able to attend SHU practices and report back here.
Again, thanks to those who support us. It not only allows me to run the Trove but it also allows me to run the free board as well.
