Milwaukee, Wis. - Seton Hall men's basketball graduate and NBA draft pick Sandro Mamukelashvili (Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia) has signed an NBA Two-Way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Mamukelashvili will be a member of both the Bucks and their NBA G League team, the Wisconsin Herd.

According to the NBA, NBA teams may have up to two players under NBA Two-Way Contracts who will spend the bulk of the season in the NBA G League and not more than 45 days with their NBA team. Two-Way players are paid a corresponding daily amount based on the number of days they play in each league. Only players with four or fewer years of NBA service are able to sign Two-Way Contracts, which can be for either one or two seasons.

On July 29, Mamukelashvili was the 54th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft; he technically was selected by the Indiana Pacers, but his rights, along with the rights to the 60th overall pick Georgios Kalaitzakis were immediately traded to the Bucks for the rights to the 31st overall pick, Isaiah Todd.

The 2021 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Haggerty Award Metropolitan Player of the Year and All-America honorable mention selection, Mamukelashvili enjoyed a prosperous four-year career with the Pirates, helping the team reach the NCAA Tournament in 2018 and 2019 and win the BIG EAST regular season championship in 2020 before COVID-19 canceled Seton Hall's NCAA Tournament run. He became the 45th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, and he finished his career 38th all-time in points with 1,100 points and 20th all-time in rebounds with 651.
