Very interesting article in Bloomberg about the NCAA units with cool graphics (for people viewing on computer). Under the Makers and Takers they talk about Northwestern and how much money they made in units despite never making any units of their own. Of course the biggest Taker in the BE was RU with zero units earned in all the years.
It also puts things into perspective on how BE schools can earn significantly more NCAA money per school than say the ACC who has many more mouths to feed.
Many remember we left a lot of money on the table when we kicked out the American schools and last year was a down year overall. But if BE recruiting remains on the upswing, and teams perform well then from an NCAA credit perspective we stand to do better per school than any other conference.
