  • Seton Hall ranks 31st in KenPom, has a NET ranking of 44 and has played eight games against “Quad 1” opponents, which is tied for second-most in the BIG EAST.
  • The Pirates’ nine projected Q1 games are tied for most in the BIG EAST.
  • The Hall’s 18 projected Q1 + Q2 games are also tied for most in the BIG EAST.
  • Seton Hall’s six Q1 + Q2 wins rank second in the conference.
  • The Pirates’ six true road wins are tied for second-most among power conference teams.
  • The Hall’s 10 true road games played this season are the most among power conference teams.
  • The Pirates boast the 20th toughest schedule in Div. I, according to KenPom, and the most difficult in the BIG EAST.
  • The Hall’s NET non-conference strength of schedule ranks 21st in the nation and fourth among major conference teams.

  • Winners of two straight, Seton Hall returns to Newark for its next two BIG EAST contests starting with Marquette on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 3 p.m.
  • A win would give Seton Hall at least nine BIG EAST victories for the sixth straight year and give the Pirates a regular season sweep of the Golden Eagles for only the third time in program history (2015-16, 2019-20).
  • Including this year, Seton Hall is 25-15 in the month of February over the last five seasons.
  • The Hall has not started the month of February with three straight BIG EAST wins since February 2009. It’s only occurred four times in program history (2009, 2006, 2003, 2000).
  • The Pirates are 142-66 (.689) all-time at Prudential Center.
  • Since 2015-16, the Pirates are 35-17 (.700) against BIG EAST competition in the building.
  • The Pirates have won their last 16 BIG EAST games when holding their opponent under 70 points.
  • The Pirates rank second in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage (74.8) and lead the conference in free throw attempts (381 FTA) and free throws made (285).
  • Senior Sandro Mamukelashvili (Tbilisi, Georgia) ranks second in the conference in scoring (17.9 ppg), ninth in rebounding (7.1 rpg) and 14th in assists (3.2 apg).
  • He was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Feb. 8 after averaging 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in Seton Hall’s 2-0 week.
  • Junior Jared Rhoden (Baldwin, N.Y.) ranks in the top 15 in the BIG EAST in scoring (t-10th, 14.5 ppg), rebounding (12th, 6.6), free throw percentage (3rd, 84.8) and minutes (8th, 33.8 mpg).
  • Junior Ike Obiagu (Abuja, Nigeria) ranks eighth in the country with 51 total blocked shots and ranks 12th with 2.7 blocks per game.
  • Seton Hall is one of only 13 Div. I programs that has an active run of at least four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Below are the 13 schools and their records and NET rankings so far this season:
    • Cincinnati – 5-7 (NET 119)
    • Duke – 7-8 (NET 76)
    • Gonzaga – 19-0 (NET 2)
    • Iona – 5-3 (NET 150)
    • Kansas – 12-7 (NET 19)
    • Kentucky – 5-13 (NET 81)
    • Michigan – 13-1 (NET 3)
    • Michigan State – 10-7 (NET 85)
    • North Carolina – 12-6 (NET 55)
    • Purdue – 13-7 (NET 24)
    • Seton Hall – 11-8 (NET 44)
    • Villanova – 12-2 (NET 9)
    • Virginia – 13-3 (NET 6)

  • The Pirates are 12-19 all-time against Marquette but they’re 10-8 since the BIG EAST’s reconfiguration in 2013-14.
  • The Hall has won four of its last five games against Marquette at the Prudential Center.
  • Seton Hall has won the last five games in the series by an average score of 8.2 points.
  • Willard is 9-7 all-time against Marquette with head coach Steve Wojciechowski at the helm.
  • Sandro Mamukelashvili is averaging 18.7 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 3.7 APG in his last three starts against Marquette.

  • While the narrative among outsiders has been that Seton Hall struggles with free throws, the numbers show how the Pirates rank among the top teams in the conference in that area.
  • They currently rank second in the BIG EAST in free throw shooting at 75.7 percent (first among teams that have played at least 16 games), and five of the team’s returners from last season are all shooting a higher percentage this season than their career average.
  • Seton Hall ranks in the top 30 nationally and leads the BIG EAST in both free throw attempts (25th, 412) and free throws made (13th, 212).
  • Since 2015-16, The Pirates are 92-15 (.859) in games where they have more FT attempts than their opponents.
  • Four Pirates own free throw shooting percentages at 75 percent or higher; Shavar Reynolds, Jr. (87.5), Jared Rhoden (84.8), Myles Cale (76.6) and Sandro Mamukelashvili (76.5).
  • Senior Bryce Aiken (Randolph, N.J.) is a perfect 23-of-23 from the charity stripe this season.
  • Currently, the most marked improvement belongs to Myles Cale, who at 76.6 percent is shooting more than 20 percent better at the line than he did last season and more than 12 percent better than his career average.
  • Big man Ike Obiagu is shooting at a 60.4 percent clip from the line after shooting just 31.6 percent from the stripe as a freshman at Florida State.
