Just watching the Maryland game and interesting to see how different Willard’s offense looks. Definitely much more ball movement and post ups.

Haven’t seen the weave yet. They definitely have different athletes than what we have had at SHU which makes a big difference.

Glad to see KW and Willard doing well.

Amazing how Louisville has crumbled, jeez. They’re now 0-7 and uncompetitive. Also lost to Bellarmine, Wright State, and Appalachian State. Damn.

That's wild. I've never even heard of Bellarmine.
They briefly made some news last season because they won their conference tournament but were ineligible for the NCAAs because there’s a 4-year waiting period when moving up from Division 2.

Let's see how Willard goes with conf play starting and some competent P6 OOC in the coming weeks

Their remaining OOC features Western Kentucky (6-1, best win Tulane on a neutral floor). Florida A&M (1-4, with the win coming against a non D-I), Lipscomb (4-2, wins over Belmont and Chattanooga and a one-point loss to ND) and at Kentucky.

They start ACC play with Miami and then travel to similarly disappointing Florida State (1-7 and lost all three at Disney this weekend. Their best shots in conference figure to be home dates with FSU, Syracuse, Pitt and Georgia Tech.

It's early but there's a chance they could go 0-for the season.

He’s off to a great start. Absolutely obliterated Miami and Saint Louis (both good teams). Next up is Illinois - huge game.

Miami and STL are Seton Hall level teams, maybe just a bit better. Neither is close to top 25-good. Maryland's schedule has been soft overall. That said, I'd sign for their start over ours.

To be fair Miami is preseason #4 in the ACC. I think that is considerably better than SHU level team.

Well, somebody has to be picked fourth in a mediocre league after UNC, UVA and Duke.

Miami is currently 47th at T-rank. Seton Hall is 44th. At KenPom, Miami is #44, Seton Hall #57.

So what you're saying is Maryland beats us by 25 on a neutral court.

Like Jerry west said in blue chips, "You've got horses, what you need are thoroughbreds" We should have enough talent on this squad to not lose to siena. However our IQ, even under Willard was terrible. IDK how much of it is coaching vs talent. Can you coach guys like ours to be smarter players? When our guards drive the lane, they go full steam with the intent to shoot. Nova would keep their dribble alive or kick it back out if they didn't have a step or the angle.

Even when we switched to zone the few times, our guys looked lost. That's in a zone where you only have to protect about 100 sq ft on defense. There's so many issues with each player and the entire squad that idk where you start. Shaheen said last pre game or the one b4 that he doesn't like to assign roles. Hence the 5 different players that have brought the ball up the court. Why does KC and femi have to bring the ball up. Make plays with your guards for the most part. The only adjustments I've seen from Willard to shaheen is Tyrese in the post and pushing the ball up the court. The rest looks the same.
