Obekpa and Jordan are said to be coming back. If they wind up getting Drexel's Damion Lee as a graduate transfer, they'll have a nice veteran trio for 2015-16, and might be decent if not particularly deep.

Plus whatever big recruits Mullin is reportedly now in on.

When is Diallo deciding? If Johnnies get him, get Sampson to recommit, and somehow add Lee that starting 5 would be really good.

Keeping these guys probably makes St. John's somewhat competitive on the court next year, but I'd have to think this will make Mullin's first year a bit more difficult from a locker room perspective.

Willard VS Mullin on the recruiting trail. That will not turn out well.

A few things I've heard to expect over next few days or so. Rysheed will likely be back as well as Obekpa. SJU expecting to add Barry Rohrssen to staff. Expect possible commits from former Iowa state commit and juco Darien Williams as well as C Yankuba Sima. SjU also trying to keep com,it from Brandon Sampson, and working on landing Diallo which might be tough as this point. Damion Lee transfer from Drexel very strong possibility.

Don't worry, we will have a Top 3 finish and be NCAA bound next year....

Meanwhile, over in South Orange...

Kevin is working on a new type of clap to motivate the team.

Everyone calm down, he will have us in the Top 3 of the Big East next season!!!

No matter what site you look at that talks about recruiting and what schools transfers are considering, especially the fifth year seniors ,or where the better HS players are talking about visiting or seriously considering , SH seems to be not a part of that conversation and there's just no " juice " out there about our program and that doesn't bode well for our recruiting.

Damion Lee would be a terrific one-year addition on both sides of the ball. Besides being a fine perimeter shooter who also excels from the foul line (88.7% with 195 attempts in 27 games), he was also the CAA's Defensive Player of the Year. I wish Seton Hall was in on him, because he would fill the small-forward spot nicely.

It sure looks like SJU is scrambling right now. Sure they have offered many players but because they're the new regime they had to renew all their offers right away in the metro area. This was probably one of the main reasons that Lavin was let go because of his more national approach to recruiting than local. And because of all the openings on their roster they are trying to fill spots as soon as possible. One should not go overboard with many of the players' names being bantered about. Tariq Owens is committing to his third school in a little over a year and his stats from last year are similar to our own Rasheed Anthony. Darien Williams is a 2 star juco out of california who on some JUCO reports have him as signed with Iowa State. If he is released from his LOI that means that Iowa State has done better.Yankuba Sima is a 3 star juco who is listed many schools with Maryland as the favorite and Louisville a close second. Now Damien Lee is a fine player that has many BCS schools after him, this would be quite a coup for SJU but it might be hard to convince him to come to SJU when there are many other schools who are closer to an NCAA bid than SJU recruiting him. I know that if SHU was in a similar position as SJU and signed some of these players there would be a lot of unhappy campers on this board.

Tariq Owens. Yawn

Darien Williams sat out this past year at JUCO from shoulder surgery, was very good as a frosh at JUCO.

Yankuba Sima is a former CBA player, we know about them.
