Isn't it ironic that McConnell once said "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president," yet, in fact, he contributed mightily to enabling Trump to be one-term reject, while at the same time demoting himself to a back-bench?

Mitch is an ineffective politician period end of story.

Trump himself though is 1000% to blame for his loss and undoing and you could see it coming from a mile away. Mitch didn't need to help him he was capable of screwing it up all on his own.

I'd slightly disagree with that. He has accomplished most of what he set out to accomplish since becoming the minority then majority leader in the senate.

Agree with that completely. He could have won again had he been able to change his rhetoric.

Although not in his nature, what if Mitch had Mitt's balls and character? By being majority enabler (with the "mechanical" Pence), he bears significant blame for the debacle that is the Republican Party.
And I wonder how outspoken Mitch would have been yesterday, were he up for re election in 2022?
