Monmouth's RPI just got a huge boost

Funny to look at this so early, but for sh-ts and giggles, according to CBS, Monmouth (4-2) has an RPI of #15!

Seton Hall (5-2) is at #51

UCLA beats KY
Monmouth beats UCLA
Canisius beats Monmouth

I guess it is abundantly clear the Canisius is the best team in the land.
"Mortgage the farm, Ethel, and bet it all on the Golden Griffins!"

This is a stark reminder that we are following the exploits 18 - 23 year old male humanoids, and we should take that into consideration when we start to get worked up on these pages. Even though D1 athletes enjoy coaching, guidance, and other privileges that give them a leg up on their peers, that are still young men with young being the operative word. I may be old, but my memory of being that age is crystal clear. You could have given me all of IW's skills , and I would have found a way to mess it up. I think I led the league in bad decisions five years running.

I try to remember that when we lose to a team we should beat. I want to win as much as the next guy, but I am grateful that the program and players seem to be respectable these days. I can justifiably be accused of setting the bar too low, but I am grateful that the days of Gonzo and his felons are in our rear view mirror.
