More from Jerry C

That's excellent news on Sanders. I have been hearing good things about him all summer but I have to be honest, I was skeptical based on what I saw last season. There were bit and pieces, but not enough IMO to project meaningful minutes. Credit the young man for getting in better shape, working on his game and not being discouraged by his lack of PT last season and looking to do what so many players are doing, take the easy way out and go into the portal.

Re Sanders... Jerry has an excellent eye. The last practice I was allowed to attend was the first one in Madison Jones 1 year career at the Hall. I sat with Jerry and we looked at each other and noted...this kid has game and for me that day on the Trove and Jerry in an article the next day sang Jones' praises as an unknown who was going to be a major force at the Hall.

Now Jerry is saying something similar about Sanders. Something to keep an eye on.

Really good stuff from Jerry as usual. A lot to like in that article. I had no idea of Hutchins and Jaden’s connections to the program and how they got recruited.

Really encouraging about Sanders which makes me think he will get time at the two if Dylan and Dawes are up backing up the point.

I guess we now know Tubek is the injury Dan referred to yesterday on the Trove without noting the name.

Great read. Considering the circumstances with the roster changeover and Sha’s seemingly constant frustration with the team dynamic last year, this is as positive as you could read this early.

If we can get either Tubek (when healthy) or NgaNga to step up, we could surprise a bit.

I am much more excited about our front court this year compared to last but I think we will miss Ndefo
Same. But I like the toughness and physicality Addae-Wusu brings as he’s all over the floor. Plus he’s a much better offensive player than Ndefo or Odukale.

The mix is totally different. I think the overall 40-minute production will be better this year and maybe without anyone being as good individually as Ndefo or Samuel.

Very thorough, great job by Jerry.

One of the reasons for my (admittedly somewhat unbridled) optimism is the addition of Addae-Wusu, who I always admired on St. John's. He's the glue guy, the one I see as the most likely successor to Ndefo as far as his toughness, tone-setting, and his willingness to leave it all out on the court on defense. And he's a much more able scorer than KC was.

I like this team. Not predicting any soaring heights, but I think we'll be good and they'll give us enough to have a fun season, one worth watching into March.

I think we will be better than expected but maybe not good enough to out play the big boys.
Hopefully good enough for 6th place or so.

I am hooked. Not blind to the challenges but Sha's positive statements and Jerry's views of the team boost my hopes for a better season than the pundits predict.
