Friendship Collegiate Academy guard Alani Moore showed his scoring ability playing for DC Premier on the 2015 Under Armour AAU circuit. With the AAU season completed, Moore is concentrating on four schools before making his college decision.

Profile - Alani Moore

Moore helped lead his AAU team to the final four. “This season led to my offers and helped to improve my game.” Alani was glad he had the opportunity to play against great players.

Georgia Tech, Massachusetts, Temple, and Seton Hall are the schools that Moore has named to his final four. “I looked at a combination of things in selecting those four.”

Massachusetts – “They were the first to recruit me.” Even though they aren’t in a big city, Alani sees that they are the attraction in that area. “They have a history of playing smaller guards. The coaches told me they would turn over the keys to the team the minute I got there.”

Temple – They have a couple of players that I know.” The staff at Temple has also built a good relationship with Alani. “They play in a big city and they are only two hours from home.” Alani has interest in the business school at Temple.

Georgia Tech – “They showed me that they really want me.” Alani is also impressed with the coaching staff at Tech. “Coach Tom Herrion has really made an impression on me as has Coach (Brian) Gregory.” Alani sees the Christian Matthews commit as a plus for Tech. “They have great academics, a great campus, and play in the best conference.”

Seton Hall – “Like Tech, they really want me.” Alani likes that they run their plays through the guards. “They want me back up there for an unofficial visit.”

Moore plans to take official visits to all four schools. Moore will be at Temple August 28th, Seton Hall September 3rd, and Massachusetts September 8th. “I haven’t set up a visit to Georgia Tech but I will.” Moore plans to set up the visit to Tech following his visit to Massachusetts. “Christian (Matthews) has really got my attention about why he chose Georgia Tech and I feel I need to check out everything for myself.”

His relationship with the staff and players, finding a school with a strong business or engineering school, and the campus setting will all be factors in Moore’s decision. If all the schools are equal, distance may be a factor.

Alani plans to make his decision in the early signing period.
