FDR won the popular vote for President four times. Two other Presidents/Presidential candidates each won the popular vote three times. Can you name them ?

bluerock got one of them. Grover Cleveland won the popular vote three times but won the electoral vote only twice. Losing to Benjamin Harrison when he ran for re-election but regaining the White House 4 years later.

Sorry RC but Teddy Roosevelt is not the answer.

Does anyone know the second answer?

John Adams? Trying to remember from the HBO mini-series if it was him.

Not John Adsams but close.

CLUE: This President lost his first attempt for the White House in the electoral vote though he won the popular vote. He then proceeded to win both the popular & electoral votes in the next two Presidential elections.

Yes, I think so, though he never invited me over for a shot of bourbon.

bluerock has it. The answer being Andrew Jackson. Losing the electoral vote to John Quincy Adams & then winning the next two elections.
