Want to thank a well known poster on this board. He reached out to me about a month ago to contact Pat Lyons and Jay Judge of Pirate Blue re his donating to the school.
I did and the four of us met at the Maplewood Country Club last week. At that meeting said poster (he wants to remain anonymous) donated on the spot $10,000.00 to the Practice Facility with a promise of another $50,000.00 the following week.
Well, I have just been told that the $50G donation was sent, again to the Practice Facility, with a pledge of an additional $50G next year.
I am only posting this info because said poster believes that by doing so it will entice others to follow suit.
To that I say thank you so much. It's that kind of generosity that helps SHU and all the student athletes.
