This is what we have been waiting for over the last 10 years.

When will SPK get on board?

Why stop at 10-8 in conf? We can be better then that.

The team is coming together, know their roles, and actually improving.

Does a big time recruit see what is coming down the road and want to be a part of it?

Why bring it up at every chance. We all know history, yet the only game that looked like history repeating was avenged last night in major fashion. I am with Artie and am glad the board is celebrating the performance last night. And we are celebrating a team of sophs.

It's February now, our nemesis. We have 4 games between Butler and Georgetown. .. both teams way better than their record and vying for our tourney spot. Lose all of them (which is highly plausible ) and everything looks the same. Just trying to stay realistic to avoid the devastation of years past.

I understand what you're saying but this is common faulty logic by sports fans. This team has no history because this team has only played this year. This is especially true in college. Now our coach has a history but, again not with THIS team.

Now they still might collapse and crash and burn but it will be unique to this team.

True but pretty damn close is not identical. Therefore this team's history will be of its own doing. Good or bad.

The difference between History and this season to me is IW. We have not had a talent and competitor like him since barrett.

SHUathlete is right. There are some tough and critical home games coming up with Marquette, Georgetown and Butler. Lose 2 of these 3 and it gets dark again very quickly. Sweep and then we can start talking making plans for the tournament.

We have been pretty decent without Whitehead having a good year for the most part. But, the last few games it just looks like he has seen the light about being the point guard and distributing to make the team better. If he gets it going, this teams tough. It does have lots of talent.

IWs FG% and A/T ratio was baaaaad for a while. His improvement turned on like a lightswitch, and hes so good that i can learn to forget the beginning of the season. All about finishing baby.

IW having a bad year? Where would we be in BE without him? I think we all agree he's improving almost on a game by game basis.

Last year we were talking about whether we were a 4 seed or a 5. Four years ago with 2 games left we were talking NCAA like we were already dancing. At this point in the season these past few years, we have had our best players get suspended before big games, a player miss a game to fly home to mommy and daddy, and player literally walk away from the team on game day.
For many of us, it is impossible to talk about the future without remembering the past.

Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that this coach has overseen a long series of teams that uniquely imploded every year in succession. That is his record, even if this particular team does have a couple new parts from last year.

I do not expect that to happen this year at this point, however. The appear to have rounded some type of corner and perhaps can mount some type of charge now.
