We had a young team last year.

Of all of the underclassmen, who do you think made the most progress as a collegiate athlete?

My vote goes for Khadeen Carrington. He started the year as an eager youthful guard who turned the ball over and drove with intensity to the basket while often times deferring to him teammates a little too much. He finished the season as a player who experienced growth, and who did what he needed to do in order to put his team in a position to secure the victory. I feel that the team's record does not measure up to the strides that this kid made in his freshman year as a Seton Hall Pirate.

Looking forward to next season, regardless of who our coach is.

Maryland made some noise in the tourney with Mark Turgeon, why can't we?

Uh, because Mark Turgeon is a very good coach? Our program learned this up close and personally in 2006.

Actually I think Angel improved the most because although he rebounded from the stat, his offensive game got better as the season went on.

To be honest, I was disappointed that the freshmen as a group didn't really play that much better as the season went on. Direct reflection on the poor coaching job by Willard. In some respects they got worse (turnovers and discipline) as the season went on.

Carrington improved the most I believe. He was hurt in the middle of the season as his numbers went down a little. But he made the most out of his opportunity when IW went down. His playing time went up and we really saw what kind of player he was. He carried us for periods during the Nova and St. John's wins and that is bigtime for a freshman. Hit some big baskets at crucial times during that Nova game. My Nova friends were raving about him and believe he is going to be a great player here.

I also thought towards the end of the season he was forcing it less and letting the game come to him a little more and started to stroke the long ball too which showed improvement.

While Angel was unbelievable all year I thought he started strong and ended frustrated due to the losing. He still had those emotional outbursts that would take him out of the game (the losing can do that) to the end of the year. He needs to improve that aspect of his game. For me it's a no brainer that Khadeen was the most improved as the year went on.

It's hard to point out an underclassmen who had improved play when the team finished by losing 9 of 10 games.

I felt like Delgado emerged more on the offensive end, but Carrington's stats seemed to pop more in the final month.
