I was actually in Tokyo this morning. Can't get FS1 here but can get the radio broadcast. I listened to the whole game. We have a lot to do to improve, but more than anything I thought I "heard" two potentially dangerous flagrant fouls on Nova and one foul that I thought Ochefu elbowed heavy on Angel. When IW went down with Hart, it sounded like Hart was "spearing" with his head. I couldn't see so I don't know, but Whitehead came up definitely the loser of the scrum. I hate Hart! I think he is a scumB! I thought it before and I haven't changed my mind. Then again when IW was hit again in the face. It was like "We're Nova and the Refs are not going to T us to lets mug their guys". I hope we take it to them in Newark because I hate to lose to these guys who think they walk on water.

Hart and Whitehead were racing toward the ball on the sideline from opposite directions. Hart got there a second before Whitehead and they collided straight on. Whoever got the ball, a foul was going to be called on the one who did not get it. There was no malicious intent on Hart. Two big guys going for a loose ball and trying to protect/brace themselves in the process of the collision. Whitehead got the worst of it. Aggressive play on both but no malicious intent. There was also a seemingly flagrant foul against Brunson on a breakaway layup attempt (can't recall which SHU player) over the back and across Brunson's neck which was quite hard but upon review he got the ball first so rightfully no F1. The game was an old school BE physical, defensive battle.

I used to live in Tokyo. Enjoy your time there if just visiting/working. Great place.

There were some hard fouls by both teams but no flagrants IMO. Nova benefitted from the officiating which allowed their defenders to stay aggressive and Ochefu to throw elbows while Hall was whistled for breathing too heavily.
Nova was still the better team but things should be different at prudential center in a few weeks.
