Hello LOTS posters. I am retiring from this board immediately. Thank you for everything. I will be posting on the Seton hall basketball boards occasionally and will watch the games safely from my house next as I fear next winter will be another dark winter. Please continue to have a healthy dialogue about this terrible pandemic.

Hello. After consideration I have decided that I will retire from the LOTS board effective immediately. I will post in the seton hall basketball fan forums occasionally. This last year has been a heck of a ride but I feel like I have not been getting certain respect from some posters on here. Thank you for taking the time of thoughtful debate on the virus and politics. I hope you will get out of this pandemic at some point! Cheers, shufan1993

Enjoy your retirement.Unrelated Dark Winter is the title of the book by Casey the former NASA scientist that forecast starting the latter part of this decade Earth would start getting colder.Casey was a big global warming scientist till about 10 years ago when his models and research started him questioning his global warming beliefs.His major conclusion was that sunspots rotate n a roughly two hundred year cycle and starting around 10 years ago they started rotating toward a colder cycle.Only time will tell if his prediction is correct.One final interesting point he made is that a number of scientists have told him they think he is correct but their whole research over a period of years has been funded because it was granted to study the effects of global warming on the planet and they were not ready to admit they were wrong.He also critiqued scientists that pontificate on the dangers of global warming who have never produced climate models.Casey had produced 150 climate models at the time he wrote the book a few years ago.

Let's hope so because the weather has become very volatile and if their predictions are true it will get much much worse.

Ah. It is unfortunate that you are retiring from this board. You had the unique ability to bring together the political left and right and middle on this board.
