Now get Farrakhan and this is solid group for next year.
From what I read, I don’t know how much this kid moves the needle next year. But seems to have the skill-set to develop into a good PF or forward-wing type. With how the roster is no reason to not take a chance on a kid who was highly thought of a couple years ago.

At one point, it seems, but something happened over the past two years. Or more likely a combination of things, between injuries and the stock falling. Which is how he lands at Boise State. Context is everything with this recruiting stuff.
I will stay the fact he was highly regarded a few years ago is intriguing though. It is a different situation IMO from a kid like Watson who was ranked highly 5 years ago and has bounced around a ton.

I'd say no risk at this stage of the game. When you miss on 9000 options and it is June 17, this is the type of swing you take. Disclaimer - never watched this kid for a second, never heard about him before a week ago, so it is all based on the "rankings" and stuff from his prep days. Obviously he was a non-factor at Boise St. last year.
Risk is that he has an extensive injury history. Missed half the season last year with a leg injury. ended up in Idaho because he had injuries in high school
But a risk certainly worth taking- especially at this stage

Solid addition. Like most of our transfers, a project with the potential to be very good if coached properly. Next year will be a litmus test for our staff developing talent and a team into a total greater than its parts.
This is the type of player that Sha has the better chance to sign and then develop then the bigger name four and five star players he targeted initially.

Members of the trove have had the inside scoop of virtually every recruit and transfer in recent memory. Because of the NILand resulting bidding wars, Sha and the staff have engaged in stealth recruiting. No one had the inside scoop on this one.

Coincidentally one of his comps per KP is 2020 Tyrese Samuel.
This young man looks like he could be the steal of a lifetime, but I can‘t shake the worry that he scored only 2 pts a game and he’s available because his knee condition (actually since high school) is serious and perhaps permanent. Alexis Yetna / JaQuan Harris all over again. If anyone has encouraging news on this front I could sure use it.
