I wanted to personally send a note to thank everyone for their continued support of Hall Ball.
I also wanted to make everyone aware of the launch of the Hall Ball Beefsteak Tip-off Dinner that will benefit NIL being hosted on Thursday October 19th at Historical Walsh Gymnasium. This event is officially going on sale Wednesday and you will see a bunch of marketing from Seton Hall in the coming days.
We hope to see everyone there and please spread the word. As always, if anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out.

Pirates Fans,
Registration for the Annual Hall Ball Beefsteak Tipoff Dinner, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 19 inside Walsh Gymnasium, is now open! In a change from past Beefsteak dinners, Seton Hall Athletics has transitioned operation and production of the dinner from Pirate Blue to Hall Ball Events, and the funds raised from the Beefsteak will go towards offerings for student-athlete Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.
Other than the change from Pirate Blue to Hall Ball, the Beefsteak Tipoff Dinner remains a celebration of the beginning of Seton Hall's men's and women's basketball seasons. Both teams will be in attendance, and both head coaches, Shaheen Holloway and Anthony Bozzella, will address the crowd. There will be a memorabilia silent auction, and Hall Ball will also be introducing new programming for the evening.
Please note that with this change, purchasing a ticket to the Annual Hall Ball Beefsteak Tipoff Dinner will no longer count towards Pirate Blue's annual giving total.

Price increases again. I get this is a fundraiser but like others they are squeezing people out.

Also have to pay Seton Hall for the rental of Walsh.
Mike Frungillo is helping Eric run this. Meaning the cost of food is either nil or very low.
This will be an enormously profitable NIL event for SHU.
Everyone who complained that we weren't doing what had to be done to stay D1 relevant now has the chance to pitch in.

I get it - it is NIL and this is a money grab and we need it. I will be there with my table as I have been for the last decade or longer but the issue is like the other threads, HallBall is not looking at the day to day fan. yes they can get the extra 30 this year but next year, it will be 200 or more a person. Going to be the same people that are at the golf events etc.
Lets just hope that the event is very lucrative and that HallBall has some modifcations to the event

With the spike of COVID cases, is Eric/Hall Ball considering a virtual option for those that are concerned? If so, that would be great!
Is this going to be the identical event or is the expectation that since Eric specializes in event planning, he will be taking this to another level?
How much can you dress up a beefsteak on the floor of a gym? It seems to be one of those events that is what it is, which given the vibe of the whole thing seems okay.
Beefsteak is always a fun event. Very casual, good food and speeches from the coaches and you can mingle with the coaches and players at the cocktail hour. Highly recommend it if you can go.

Apparently HB has something planned. We'll see.
I think there are some ways it could be improved. Will be interesting to see how hall ball puts their fingerprints on it. Looking forward to it. One of the best nights of the year.
On that note. There should be a signature sandwich shop or food truck on or off campus AND at concessions during games. Selling items named after players (think grease trucks The Fat Kooks). throw an extra buck on the price. NIL in it’s true form. Could prob raise 50k in a calendar year if done properly.
