NIL Follies --check out what VCU is doing

That’s a misleading average number using the $5M high end averaged to 13 only for men’s basketball.

The article indicates it’s being used to pay players in the athletic deportment in general, plus requires the department to find revenue streams.

Given all the financial demands made on the state budgets to deal with its needs from maintaining its infrastructure to funding for its social programs I can’t help but wonder why there hasn’t been a taxpayer backlash .

College athletics - RIP. 😰
I get it..don’t disagree

But this will all eventually end in revenue sharing..which will lead to collective bargaining..which if you want to bargain you’re going to have to accept rules

And the rules (albeit idk how many) will come back

What does that mean for SHU…zero clue

I’m going to with $140k for men’s basketball.
Thanks. And that is an educated guess. One has to ask, then, how much is Coleman getting; how much Turek or Prince?

Helps to know when appeals are made for NIL or plush fund donations.

Maryland…

"Starting with the 2025-26 season, we will be sharing the maximum-allowable amount of $20.5M with our student-athletes, with the vast majority of it going to our revenue-producing sports – football, men's basketball and women's basketball. This level of investment attests to our enduring commitment: to compete for conference and national championships."
