NJ averages 2 dem to 1 gop

I have never fancied myself a math guy but according to the numbers in the article the GOP has 1.6M registered voters and the Dems have 2.52M. If the Dems had a 2:1 advantage, I believe then they would have 3.2M registered voters...

About 5-6 years ago during the Trump admin the Dems had the most registered voters in the State, surpassing independents. That advantage has been totally erased as the GOP adds voters and more voters register as unaffiliated.

This is good news for the NJGOP moreso in next year's State elections than this year, where their only real opportunity to have a good night will likely be if Kean, Jr. wins. There are no realistic pickup opportunities for either party except for Dems in Kean's district.

Sad what gerrymandering has done. NJ-11 used to be a reliably GOP district not too long ago. Now Montclair Mikie has an iron grip on it after they added towns like South Orange, Maplewood, and Millburn while eliminating some Sussex County towns that were in the district.

Speaking of Sussex County towns previously in NJ-11, seems like Tom Kean Jr. in NJ-7 has a strong challenger in Sue Altman, a two-time All Ivy basketball player at Columbia.

Yeah but you know...Dems had to take NJ-11 to save democracy by overthrowing...Rodney Frelinghuysen, the House Appropriations Committee chair (responsible for brining $$$ back to NJ), who used to donate to Planned Parenthood and had a lifetime score of 43% from the Heritage Foundation. A real Trump Republican.
