NJIT wins again

The Highlanders defeated Canisius in the quarterfinals of the CIT. Some might snicker at the fact that it's the CIT, but when you're a team without a conference this is a big deal. St. John's and Manhattan both went to the Big Dance, and Iona won more games, but no school has done more to further their basketball program this year than NJIT. They are the team of the year in Metropolitan area college basketball, as Jim Engles is showing everyone how to build a program from the bottom up. All they need now is to be invited into a conference. They certainly bring a lot to the table.

Jim Engles is a good coach. This guy is going places.. He built that program from nothing. I don't know what type of a recruiter he is. I don't think Seton Hall should hire him since that is too big of a step up and goes against my preference of only hiring someone that has coached their team to an NCAA berth. But this guy has the chance to be a great coach.
