The writing was on the wall when they declined his option after last season then re-signed him for less money.Thought he was in a pretty good situation there, but he didn’t see the floor tonight. Cause for concern?
He played no more than nine minutes in any pre-season game. It’s early. But I was surprised that Sandro only got 7 minutes in the Spurs last pre season game. Champagne was a DNP also.
But he's a two-way player not a standard contract guy, I wouldn't expect him to play much.Rhoden also had a DNP-coaches decision.
It’s not about him being an NBA caliber player. He is. It’s just that it’s numbers game. There are more capable players than roster spots. That’s the issue for guys like him.Mamu is a NBA caliber player and will find the right fit eventually. He scored 8 PTS in only seven minutes in the final exhibition game.
Being an NBA player and being an NBA rotational player are 2 different things. It’s not about him being an NBA caliber player. He is. It’s just that it’s numbers game. There are more capable players than roster spots. That’s the issue for guys like him.
He's making 2 mill this season? And Doug MacD still making 13 mill? Nice!!It’s not about him being an NBA caliber player. He is. It’s just that it’s numbers game. There are more capable players than roster spots. That’s the issue for guys like him.

Yeah, I saw that. Kinda depressing if that’s what it takes to get him out on the floor for a pretty uneventful seven minutes.Mamu got to play today in 40-point blowout to Clippers. 7 minutes, no shots.
And the reality is the longer you can hang around and live within that numbers game, the better chance you have of getting an opportunity. And all it takes is "hitting" on one opportunity to make some really, really nice coin and set yourselves up. I'm amazed at these guys who stick around NBA benches forever, don't play that much, and you look up and they've made $40-$50 million plus in their careers. It’s not about him being an NBA caliber player. The game he played was a 30 pt loss and he was the last guy to get it. Doesnt look promising. Maybe he can show the coach something in practice.Sandro has only played in one game this season. Jared checked in for a second time today.
