Not going well

You must really be afraid he beats Trump for nomination since you constantly tell us how bad his campaign is.I agree with your assessment since I believe he would beat Biden ,but Trump will not.Dems have concluded rightly so that Biden record would be issue if anyone but Trump runs, and that spells defeat for Joe.It looks at this point dems will get their wish and we will have the guy who never talks with his son about his son’s business, weaponizes DOJ and FBI and Defies SCOTUS rulings because he disagrees with them setting a great example for the rule of law NOT.

His age more than his record. His record is fine. Not perfect, but the economy is the issue that matters most. A strong economy with high inflation being over presents a challenging environment for republicans.

market looking good! prime for the 10th bubble recession in the last 2 years

Merge you think 16% inflation in29 months in office is good.Up from 1.3% annually when Trump left. The recent 3% annual increase compares the inflated June 2022 rate which was 13% above rate when Biden took office.Realize this will be lost on a lot of people ,but it should enter into the conversation. Finally you do know that a significant majority of voters give Biden low marks on his handling of the economy.

Cant’t look at it in a bubble Ed.
The circumstances for Biden and Trump were entirely different. We would have faced significant inflation no matter who won in 2020, and it would have been coming down now no matter who won as well.

The nuances in the debate don’t really matter to most voters. All that matters is are people employed and are prices stable. If that’s true from now through November 2024, it’s a strength for Biden. It’s easy to want change when it is hurting your pocket. Harder sell when it’s not.

Market will continue rising for the next 5-7 months overall. I think we'll hit new all-time highs. Then it will get scary. Could be a big crash on 2008 levels or worse. Big buying opportunity over a year or two, but a lot of people will get hurt. Good to be prepared.

why do you think it will be 2008 level?

You have been calling for a recession for the past 3 years. It hasn't happened. One day you will be right.

why do you think it will be 2008 level?

A number of things: Loads of both government and household debt, low labor force participation, a deflationary recession that is good bet to happen, etc. Could always be another black swan event too. I'd be very cautious once we get towards the holidays and the calendar flips to 2024.

Neither present nearly the type of risk of a 2008 type crash.

low labor force participation

Prime age rate is the highest it has been in over 20 years.
Some of the 55+ that left aren't working anymore. That is a net benefit to the economy as they get replaced in the workforce, and then there are more students in college / grad school
