Willard said we didn't practice well the past 2 days...After the first bad practice, isn't his job to ensure they practice better the next day?!

Absolutely. And another issue I had was he didn't get his medical degree in college either. Clearly that would have in some way prevented Delgado from getting sick with the flu.

You are really reaching on this one. You can't blame Willard on this or the fact they had. 1 or 2 bad practices. Every coach says this in a lot of sports . The big thing is to see how they respond to the wake up call

I dont know about that, but I do know we played VERY tentatively on offense, especially the first half....jitters? I dont know why. We also did a horrible job boxing out giving them 2, 3 and 4 chances on many possessions....not going to win many games against anyone with any talent doing that. And finally, our free throw shooting was abysmal, while they made a good number of theirs.

What I take from this is, no need to panic...in some ways this is the test we need....lets see the response this weekend....and in the 3 games to follow. Our defense was actually pretty good....if we could have held them to one shot in most possessions, that alone would have made this a closer, or dare I say, different outcome, game.

Let's give them some room to grow in this very tough stretch....if they fail and drop like last year....then feel free to pile on; but until then, let's let it play out. For some reason....I think this year will be different..

Shame about Delgado battling the flu, and I appreciate his effort, but it's hard to think that it would've made much difference, given the way Ochefu ate him alive last year, too. Not a knock on Angel; Ochufu is a beast with an NBA body. He's also developed a nice soft shooting touch, too. He's really improved in his time there.
