First up

Derrick Gordon.

I'll be paraphrasing to save time.

Very frustrating to not be able to close out the game. You never want to lose a tight game like that.

Coach told us after the game he's proud of us and doesn't feel anyone is to blame for the loss.

I feel personally I wasn't there. I was against Providence but I wasn't tonight. There's a lot of things I should have done differently. I'm the leader of this team and I let them down. I blame myself.

I'll watch the tape, see what I did wrong and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Lots of whistles in the second half. That makes it tough to get into the flow of the game for both teams.

For me personally I tried to play smart knowing how the refs were calling the game. A few times I gave up passing lanes that I wouldn't normally do because of the way the game was being called.

At the end of the game I beat my man and thought I had a clear path to the basket. I didn't see Ochefu until it was too late. Give him credit for making a great play.

I made a bad play at the end of the game throwing the ball to Isaiah. I knew we had timeouts and I should have called one there.

It definitely hurts losing to Villanova twice. I want to play them again in the Big East Tournament.

Both me and then Isaiah rushed shots at the end of the game. We have to work for better shots. We know we should have run better plays and gotten better shots. We played hard but we have to play smarter.

I called the team meeting after the Creighton game to make sure everyone was on the same page. You could see it worked well because after this game we took the loss as a team and now will concentrate on the next game. This result will only bring the guys closer.

Yeah Villanova is a veteran team and we are young but this late into the season I don't look at it like that anymore. Basketball players are basketball players. I don't like losing to them. At this point in my career I might not get another chance to beat them and that bothers me.

The atmosphere was great. Tonight there was a lot more support than we usually get. I loved it and wish we could have won to say thank you for the support but we didn't. It's a long season though and we'll come back.

The message in the locker room after the game was to stay positive.

Next up, Isaiah Whitehead.
