going in, the starting lineup was believed to be iw, kc, desi, nzei, and delgado. With gordon being the first guard off the bench with ish braeden and veer also logging minutes.

Has this changed for anyone that attended the scrimmage?

Also, Maybe our two biggest weaknesses is quality front court depth behind or next to delgado and 3 pt shooting do we feel more or less worried about these areas after the scrimmage.

Thanks for your insights..

Idk if Anderson played but if he did, no one has discussed him. Seems Carter is the other big that impressed some people yesterday. Idk. Wasn't there.

Is there any baggage with Gordon? Usually when a player transfers twice there is something. I think Veer should be the 6th man over Gordon

What were the starting lineups?
Going off of memory from yesterday I think it was Nzei, Thomas, Carrington, Anthony, Singh starting on one team. And Whitehead, Rodriguez, Gordon, Delgado, Sanogo on the other. Anderson, Soffer, Carter started on bench

SPK is pretty knowledgeable and hardly afraid of negatives. He has spoken very highly of Gordon the man.

+1. Graduate "transfers "are usually different than underclassmen anyway.
BTW, Myles Powell was at the game and very visible. Seems like a great kid.

Spoke to an AAU coach who has gone against him (NY Rens) and he loved Powell. Said he is just the kind of player Willard needs.

Dan what was the news on Anderson? He was starting bench for the scrimmage? Doesnt sound too promising.

He hadn't practiced through contact for nearly three weeks due to a concussion. It happened when he took a knee to the head from Jevon Thomas in early September.

Anderson had to pass a concussion protocol test which he just did. His playing just a few minutes Saturday was the result of the above.

Jevon Thomas must have gotten some serious air
He might be small but he has ups and quickness to spare. If he ever improves his jumper and he has a ways to go there, Thomas could be one hell of a player.

Few can stay in front of him one on one. The problem will be without a jumper or pull up he will have trouble finishing against high quality competition.

Thomas will be a player to watch. Hopefully he works on his shot in his off year. If he does he will surprise in 2016/17.

We said that about Eugene but he got to the hoop when he wanted. He was really amazing in his ability to get to the rim given his size, physicality and lack of pull up or jumper.

That's true Dick. But maybe with great sucess only in his first year. After that teams adjusted.

Harvey was a slightly different player than Thomas. Whereas Boo was crafty with moves to spare Thomas does it on speed and athleticism.

I will enjoy watching him practice this season and hope he becomes a complete player. He has game, but needs to add to it.
