Now this is disgusting

I have been back in the city for 3 weeks, i walk 32nd street from 7th to 3rd, since the first attack last week, there are patrol cars between broadway and 5th, saw extra officers on foot on my walk back last night...32nd street east of MSG has a lot of south korean and chinese bars and restaurants i even think its known as little korean way east of msg....

The mouth of penn station is just a bunch of homeless bums in the evening and morning...reminds me of tolder times square times...even parts of midtown east and murray hill has beggers...wonder will nyc really ever do anything for these people

Scary stuff. Unfortunately I don't think we will ever see a "booming" NYC again.

This is when you know it's bad. I was in Camden last week and real estate is going through the roof...yes, Camden! People moving out of Philadelphia...wanting to be close for work, but getting out because of quality of life/crime. Lot of property speculation and residential/apartments across the river. When Camden is perceived as a better place to live than Philly, what does that tell you?

philly is booming with nyers, the entire philadelphia dma is booming. nycers are driving prices up a bit. plus, covid was a natural event where phily people started moving out but nycers takikg their place.

little bit of misinformation here. perhaps theyre moving from west or north philly or kensington. crime has definitely gone up in these places

also take it from someone who lives here, nobody, i mean nobody percieves camden as a better place to live. generally the city is fine. its a big city. you take the good with the bad.

Also disgusting, another Trump leech

wow that guy might have the record for longest controversy section in wikipedia

Also disgusting Biden pushing vaccine passport to travel but against voter ID requirement because it is racist.Somone should tell him Delaware requires voter ID or does he know and considers his home state racist? I guess he doesn’t know because I have never him call Delaware election law racist.

timely article. guess we can chalk up this comment to being entirely wrong.

Did you read the whole article? This is specifically about Center City.

which makes up the biggest area and major measuring stick of "people moving to camden to avoid the crime in philly" im not even sure anyone from philly is moving to camden at all for anything other than price.

lol, you decide Center City is the measuring stick because you live there. Did you read the whole article that points to the significant job loss that has not come back? What are those people doing?

housing going up in philly. thats the main point. crime going up everywhere. people definitely arent leaving philly to camden because of it. in fact, your entire camden real estate point is false. its due to money. not crime. correlation is not causation. especially when real estate is doing well in philly! there could be some people in more damgerous areas leaving for camden, but overall its not an exodus of people who see philadelphia as no longer safe as a whole. your anecdotal "random person told me" evidence doesnt work on this one.

I guess the Camden Chamber and Councilwoman must be liars. They must have fabricated the data too, or should I believe an anonymous poster that is defending where he lives...lol. Happy Easter:)

ahh there it is. patented obscure high up official. quite the assortment. that showed you the data. nah local politicians are never liars.

im not defending as much as exposing blatant wrong anecdotes. people arent leaving philly. its more accurate to say philly is gaining heavy numbers of residents from nyc. housing prices increased in every single neighborhood during the pandemic. brokers must be crazy to increase prices in the face of camden councilwomens data that everyone is leaving philly.

happy easter.
