The sophomore ties for fourth among 72 golfers at 2-over-par while Seton Hall hops up to a second place tie.

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Sophomore Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) shot an even-par, 70, in Sunday's final round to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team to a second place tie at the 2015 Princeton Invitational.
O'Brien finished the tournament at 2-over-par with a 72-70-142 to tie for fourth place among 72 individual golfers. It's only his second career top-5 finish and his 2-over-par is his second-best tournament score in his young collegiate career. O'Brien finished three strokes behind the individual champion, Temple's Brandon Matthews.
Collectively, Seton Hall shot nine strokes better in Sunday's round at Merion Golf Club than they did at Aronimink yesterday. The Pirates were able to move up two spots in the standings to tie Temple for second place at 26-over-par. For the two-day event, The Hall shot a 297-289-586. Yale won the team title at 11-over-par. Among those in the field of 13 teams, two BIG EAST teams also competed. The Pirates bested St. John's by 14 strokes and Georgetown by 18 strokes.
After O'Brien, a trio of Seton Hall golfers shot a 3-over-par, 73, on Sunday. JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.), who shared the team lead with O'Brien after round one, finished the tournament tied for 14th place overall at 5-over-par with a 72-73-145. Sophomore Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) tied for 20th place overall at 7-over-par following a 74-73-147. Lastly, Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) improved six strokes on Sunday to finish at 12-over-par with a 79-73-152.
Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) rounded out the team scoring at 22-over-par with an 83-79-162.
The field played 18 holes on Saturday at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa. and a final 18 holes on Sunday on Merion Golf Club's East Course in Ardmore, Pa. Aronimink hosted the 1962 PGA Championship and was a PGA Tour stop for the AT&T National in 2010 and 2011. The Merion portion of the tournament will be held on the East Course, which has hosted five U.S. Opens, the last one just two years ago.
Joining Seton Hall and host Princeton was a field of 11 other teams including: Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Penn, Rider, Rutgers, St. John's, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Yale.
The Princeton Invitational served as the final tune-up for the upcoming BIG EAST Championship, April 26-28, at Callawassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, S.C.
