Here are some odds and ends from my interview with Eric Bossi.
Myles Cale is a multi-year starter and future all-Big East player, who is not a regional recruit, but a national level recruit that could play at almost any program in the country, according to Bossi.
“Having him done early is huge for them. They got in and found him and did a ton of work early and they kicked everyone’s butt on his recruitment,” Bossi said.
Bossi described Cale as a scorer and off the dribble creator who is tough and physical. At this stage he is not a pure jump shooter, but he can shoot the ball and is getting more consistent with his jumper.
“The guy is wired to score, he gets to the hoop, he gets to the free throw line, he shoots the ball and he create for his teammates. He’s a good athlete, but not a great one who has a good feel for things. He’s strong and powerful and knows how to use his body. He’s a KG [Kevin Garnett] crafty-type basketball player with a nonstop motor. Seton Hall fans are going to really love him.”
Bossi said that Cale is currently ranked 70th in the country, but he wouldn’t argue if someone had him ranked as high as 40.
